Join us for an afternoon of piano music with three talented pianists featuring music by WFE Bach, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Stravinsky, and Handel.
Yufang Chen was born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She graduated from the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, Germany, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Music Education. As an accompanist, she held solo recitals and piano concerts in Stuttgart. She serves as a full-time music teacher in a junior high school in Kaohsiung. She also taught in the music department of the National Pingtung University of Education and Girls' High School. She currently serves actively in church music ministry in both Kaohsiung and Pingtung city.
Yu-Ting Lin is a native of Fong-Yuan, Taiwan. She received her baccalaureate degree in vocal performance from the National Taiwan Normal University in 1992. In 1994, she came to Boston to further her musical studies and received a Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano from the New England Conservatory of Music. During her study at the NEC, Ms. Lin was selected by the faculty to perform contemporary American art songs in the music festival entitled “The American Century”, and was granted scholarship to study and perform chamber music at the “Yellow Barn Music Festival” in Vermont. After her further study in music education at the conservatory, she became a faculty member at the New School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is currently a piano faculty member at the Suzuki School of Music in Newton. Besides collaborating and performing with instrumentalists, vocalists and chorus groups in many recitals and concerts, she also serves as the choir director at the Boston Taiwanese Christian Church.
Yuching Fass was born and raised in Taiwan. She obtained her Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA. Her collaborative performances include New England Philharmonic, Newton Symphony, Granite State Ballet, Longy Chamber Orchestra, North Shore Symphony and the Reading Singers. She has been on the piano faculty of Indian Hill School of Music and Gordon College. Yuching has been a staff accompanist of Masconomet Regional School in Boxford, MA and with the community chorus at Salem State University in Salem, MA. She had a series of piano duo performances at Steinway Hall in New York.
