Andover Pollinator Pathway Speaker Series featuring Marc Fournier

Marc Fournier, a Massachusetts Certified Arborist, will discuss the value of native trees, shrubs, and other plants to our ecosystem including pollinators, birds, wildlife, and us. Learn more about the Andover Pollinator Pathway program, how to find the right native plants for the right locations, and how messy yards with less mowing are better.

Bring your favorite plant guides and any questions you have to this exciting workshop, and you might receive a special prize!

Marc Fournier is a past seasonal Property Manager at the Massachusetts Audubon Society and the former Arborist/Horticulturist at The Trustees of Reservations’ Mytoi Japanese Garden. Marc has extensive experience in arboriculture, landscape design, sustainability, energy efficiency, building construction, recycling, organics diversion, materials management, public works, and facilities management.  He is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the USDA Forest Service Urban Forest Strike Team.

Marc is a former Deputy Director of Public Works & Highway Superintendent in the Town of Andover, MA, Director of Plant Operations & Sustainability at Lasell College, Director of Public Works in Hull, Assistant Director for Grounds Management at UMass Amherst, Environmental Analyst with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Senior Environmental Specialist with Haley & Aldrich, Inc., and Executive Director of WasteCap of Massachusetts.

He is also a consulting arborist and carpenter, enjoys spending time with his family, and restores vintage tools.  He also serves as a volunteer on the Board of the Andover Center for History & Culture, and the Advisory Committee of the Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary on Martha’s Vineyard.
