Just in time for summer! Join us to Zoom with Madeline Bilis about her book "50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts". Hopefully, we'll all feel motivated to dust off our hiking shoes and hit the road!

In this first-edition guide, Madeline Bilis shares her years of outdoors experience in the Boston area, providing 50 hikes for people of all skill and experience levels. While the Berkshires tend to get all recognition when it comes to hiking in Massachusetts, the eastern part of the state is packed with treasures for lovers of the outdoors.

From the rocky ledges of the Blue Hills Reservation to the sandy stretches of the Cape Cod National Seashore, incredible trails and vistas abound in this varied region. In addition to stunning natural views, you’ll delight in discovering dozens of small towns, cultural attractions, and historical sites during your adventures around Boston and the Cape.

About Madeline:

Madeline Bilis is a writer and editor living in Massachusetts. She currently works as the Deputy Lifestyle Director at Apartment Therapy, where she edits the site’s real estate vertical. Before that, she was an assistant editor at Travel + Leisure and an associate editor at Boston Magazine, writing about New England’s charming homes and destinations. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Emerson College. 50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts is her first book.

This program is a partnership with Ashland Public Library.
