Learn the basic principles of how to approach, analyze, and appreciate great works of art the way an artist would.

Included will be discussions on viewing art as both a physical object and the expression of an idea, art in the context of its time, and the elements of composition. Led by Gene Wisniewski, author of The Art of Looking at Art.

Wisniewski received his art education at Rutgers University, the New York Academy of Art, The National Academy of Design, The New School, and L’Ecole Albert Defois in Vihiers, France. He has exhibited in galleries nationwide, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Wisniewski has twenty years’ experience teaching and lecturing on visual art.

NOTE: This program will be recorded. All registrants will receive the recording via email within 24 hours of the program. This program is in partnership with Tewksbury Public Library.
