Join Leonardo and Stelvyn Mirabal from la Asociacion Carnavalesca de Massachusetts to learn about the history and culture of Dominican carnival traditions.

Stelvyn Mirabal is the Director of la Asociación Carnavalesca de Massachusetts. Through his work with la Asociación, for over 20 years Stelvyn has worked diligently to keep Dominican carnival traditions alive and flourishing in Lawrence. Stelvyn and his son Leonardo will be at the library to discuss the origins, history, traditions, amazing masks and elaborate costumes of Dominican carnival.
