Curator Gordon Wilkins will lead visitors through the galleries to discuss the themes and works presented in the exhibition.

Join us for a gallery tour exploring a new exhibition at the Addison Gallery of American Art. Laying the Foundation is an exploration of the eclectic mix of works that comprise the Addison’s founding collection, which reflects not just the best of what was available on the market at the time but also the specific tastes and predilections of those who contributed to its creation.

Laying the Foundation: Exploring the Nucleus of the Addison’s Collection will be on display at the Addison Gallery from February 10- July 31, 2024.

Please note this event will take place at the Addison Gallery of American Art on the campus of Phillips Academy.

Space is limited and registration is required. Please cancel your registration if you are no longer able to attend.
