For those curious about the voice but not interested in the formal experience of being in a choir, this talk breaks down barriers to finding one’s voice. Kathryn will demonstrate and lead attendees through some breath, posture, and simple vocalization exercises in this interactive workshop.

Kathryn Findlen is a professional classical mezzo soprano (opera, oratorio, symphony, chamber, and solo) as well as a music educator and artistic director. She trained at the Brevard Music Center Opera Program, holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts, and a Master of Music from the University of Texas at Austin.
