Join Bob Zogg, from the HeatSmart Alliance, for a discussion of heat pumps.

In this presentation, Bob Zogg will introduce homeowners to modern heat pumps, including:

• Their role in lowering greenhouse gas emissions
• The functions they serve in the home
• Available types of heat pumps
• Example energy-cost and emissions comparisons
• Available incentives
• How to get started

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

Bob Zogg is a founding member of the HeatSmart Alliance, a volunteer organization that promotes clean heating and cooling systems in Massachusetts communities. Bob retired in 2016, after almost 30 years in energy-related consulting. During his career, Bob led numerous evaluations of residential and commercial building energy use, focusing on space heating and cooling, domestic water heating, and refrigeration. Bob has a BS and MS in mechanical engineering. Bob also serves on the Environmental Sustainability Committee in the Town of Carlisle.

This program is a collaboration between Memorial Hall Library and Andover WECAN.
